4-Ingredient Choc Caramel Bars

Makes 12 bars

INGREDIENTS

1¾ cups puffed rice

4 Cadbury 5Star bar, chopped

1 tbsp (15g) butter

½ (150g) Cadbury Dairy Milk slab, broken into cubes

 

*Microwave cooking times may vary due to wattage; use the timings below as a guide.

 

METHOD

  1. Line a square tin with greaseproof paper.
     

  2. In a large microwave safe bowl, add the chopped Cadbury 5Star and butter and microwave until melted, stirring at 20 seconds intervals. *Chef’s Tip: We used a 700W microwave.
     

  3. Add the puffed rice, little by little, and stir to coat evenly in chocolate.
     

  4. Gently press the puffed rice mixture into the lined tin, pressing down slightly to flatten the top. Set aside to cool for about 15 minutes.
     

  5. In the same microwave safe bowl, add the broken Cadbury Dairy Milk slab and microwave for 4-5 minutes or until completely melted, stirring often.
     

  6. Once melted, pour the chocolate over the puffed rice mixture. Use the back of a spoon to spread the chocolate evenly. Leave to set for 1 hour.
     

  7. Once set, remove from the tin and cut into 12 bars. Serve and ENJOY!
