INGREDIENTS
2 cups Ultra Mel Custard Flavoured Dessert OriginalĀ
2 cups cake flourĀ
1½ Cups Water
SERVING SUGGESTIONĀ
Ultra Mel Custard whipped cream & fresh berriesĀ
Cinnamon sugar & fresh lemon slices Ā
RECIPE STEPS
1. Add the Ultra Mel Custard Flavoured Dessert Original, 1 1½ cups water and cake flour to a large mixing bowl. Then, use a hand whisk to beat the mixture until smooth Chefās tip: strain the batter through a sieve to guarantee its smoothness!
2. Spray a large non-stick pan with non-stick spray and heat it over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add a ladle of batter. Swirl the pan to evenly spread the batter and cook for 2 minutes.
3. Flip the pancake over and cook for an additional 1 minute. Remove the pancake from the pan and place it on a plate. Repeat this process until all the batter is used.
4. Let the pancakes cool for 15 minutes, then fill them with the custard whipped cream. Dust the pancakes with icing sugar, serve with fresh berries and ENJOY! Alternatively, sprinkle the pancakes with cinnamon sugar and serve with a slice of fresh lemon. Chefās tip: make the whipped cream by folding in 2 parts of whipped cream with 1 part Ultra Mel Custard
I tried this recipe with just these 3 ingredients but I found it was almost a fail.... the batter was breaking up and not great to work with... I added a dash of salt and an egg. What a difference! Both to the taste and of course, the texture. I think it should be renamed to 'easy, tasty pancakes' š
I served them with cinnamon sugar and lots of lemon š
