Hands-off time: 15 minutes
INGREDIENTS
15 slices Albany Superior White Bread
⅓ cup (75g) garlic butter, melted
½ tub (115g) garlic and herb-flavoured cream cheese
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
Serving Suggestions:
Store-bought salsa
Finely chopped parsley
METHOD
1. On a cutting board, cut the crust off and roll each slice of Albany Superior White Bread into a thin square. *Chef’s Tip: The crusts can be left on, if preferred.
2. Use a basting brush to brush the melted garlic butter onto the rolled slices of bread. Turn the slice over so the buttered side is on the board.
3. Add the garlic cream cheese and grated mozzarella to a small mixing bowl. Mix until evenly combined. *Chef’s Tip: Crispy bacon bits can be added here!
4. Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture onto each slice of bread.
5. Neatly roll up each of the filled slices of bread and arrange them on your board. *Chef’s Tip: The filled rolls can be frozen in an airtight container and toasted when needed!
6. Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat and arrange the roll-ups in the pan. Brush each roll-up with leftover garlic butter and toast for 3-4 minutes, turning every minute, or until evenly golden brown on the outside. *Chef’s Tip: Careful not to overcrowd the pan.
7. Serve the roll-ups on a platter, garnished with chopped parsley, alongside a bowl of salsa and ENJOY!
