INGREDIENTS
¼ bag (36g) Doritos Flamin’ Hot Masala Flavoured Corn Chips, plus extra to serve
2 tbsp mayonnaise
2 slices white bread
3 slices cheddar cheese
1 tbsp butter
METHOD
1. Add the Doritos Flamin’ Hot Masala Flavoured Corn Chips to a zip-lock bag and lightly bash to form coarse crumbs. Transfer to a plate and set aside until needed. *Chef’s Tip: Alternatively, use your favourite Doritos flavour!
2. Layer the cheese on top of one slice of bread, covering with the other slice of bread. Spread the mayonnaise on the outside of the bread slices.
3. Coat the sandwich in the crushed Doritos, pressing gently yet firmly, to ensure the crumbs stick to the bread. *Chef’s Tip: The mayo should help the crumbs stick to the bread.
4. Add the butter to a non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Place the sandwich in the pan and allow to toast for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy and the cheese has melted. *Chef’s Tip: Toast on medium-low heat to prevent the chips from burning!
5. Once toasted, slice, serve with a side of Doritos chips, and ENJOY!
