Lunch Bar Sheet Cake

Serves 15

Hands-on time: 15 minutes

Hands-off time: 40 minutes

INGREDIENTS

4-8 bars (48g each) Cadbury Lunch Bars

1 box (650g) chocolate cake mix

3 extra-large eggs

1 cup vegetable oil

1½ cups cream

METHOD

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C, fan-assist, and lightly grease a rectangular 30x40cm baking dish with nonstick spray.

For the cake:

2. Slice the Cadbury Lunch Bars into even-sized pieces. Set ½ of the Lunch Bar pieces aside to be used when serving.

3. Pour the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil and 1 cup hot water into a mixing bowl dish. Mix until a chocolate cake batter forms. Fold in ½ the chopped chocolate pieces until well incorporated and use the back of the spoon to smoothen the top. *Chef’s Tip: The batter can be made directly in the baking dish to reduce the dishes that need to be washed!

4. Pour the cake batter into the baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until risen and baked through. When ready, remove the cake from the oven and set it aside to cool. For the topping:

5. Whip the cream until soft peaks form.*Chef’s Tip: Careful not to overmix the cream.

6. Spoon the whipped cream over the cooled cake and garnish with the remaining chopped Lunch Bar pieces.

7. Slice the cake into even squares, serve and ENJOY!
