Spicy Boerie Spaghetti

 

Ingredients:

 

1/4 pack Fattis & Muni's spaghetti 

1 pack boerewors

Olive oil, for frying

1 tsp crushed garlic

1 tsp chilli flakes

1 tin KOO Chakalaka Mild & Spicy with Peas

1 tin KOO All Gold Tomato & Onion Mix

Fresh parsley

1/2 cup cream cheese

Salt to taste

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

 

1. Add spaghetti to a pot of salted boiling water. Boil for 5 - 8 minutes. Strain and set aside.

 

2. Place 2 sosatie sticks through the boerie to hold it in place while frying. Add olive oil to the pan and fry until browned and cooked through on both sides. Remove from the pan and place the boerie on a sheet of kitchen towel to cool.

 

3. Add 1 tbsp olive oil to the pan and fry the crushed garlic and chili flakes until fragrant. Add the tin of chakalaka and the tin of tomato and onion mix to the pan.

 

4. Add the cream cheese, chopped parsley and salt to the pan.

 

5. Slice the boerie and add the pieces to the pan. Simmer for 12 - 15 min until the sauce has thickened.

 

6. Stir through the cooked spaghetti.

 

7. Add the grated cheese to the pan and stir, allowing the cheese to melt before serving and ENJOY!

 

Creamy Bacon Alfredo

 

Ingredients:

 

1/4 pack Fattis & Muni's spaghetti

1 pack Enterprise Bits O' Bacon

Olive oil for frying

1/2 cups chopped onion

1/2 cups chopped mushrooms

3 tbsp butter

3 tbsp flour

2 cups cream

2 cups mozzarella

 

Method:

 

1. Add spaghetti to a pot of salted boiling water. Boil for 5-8 minutes. Strain and set aside.

 

2. Heat olive oil in a medium sized saucepan, add onion and mushrooms to the pan to brown.

 

3. Once browned, remove the onion and mushroom from the pan and set aside.

 

4. Add the bacon bits to the pan and fry until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside.

 

5. Melt 3 tbsp butter in the pan, once melted melted whisk in 3 tbsp flour. Add 2 cups cream to the pan stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

 

6. Once thickened, add in mozzarella and allow to melt. Add the fried mushrooms, onions and bacon to the Alfredo sauce and stir to combine.

 

7. Stir through the cooked spaghetti and pour the pan contents into a baking dish. Cover with the remaining cheese and bake for 10-15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius until golden. Serve with an extra sprinkling of bacon and ENJOY!

 

Cheesy Spaghetti Bolognaise

 

Ingredients:

 

1/4 pack Fatti's and Monis spaghetti

Olive oil for frying

500g lean mince

100g All Gold Tomato Paste

1 onion, chopped

1 clove of crushed garlic

1 cup stock

1 carrot, grated

1 zucchini, grated

1 tin All Gold Diced and Peeled Tomatoes

1 tsp oregano

Fresh basil

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

 

Method:

 

1. Add spaghetti to a pot of salted boiling water. Boil for 5-8 minutes. Strain and set aside.

 

2. Heat olive oil in a medium sized saucepan, add mince and cook for a few minutes. Add tomato paste and fry until browned, allow to simmer on a low heat.

 

In a separate pan, heat olive oil and fry the onion and garlic until fragrant. Add the grated carrot and zucchini to the pan. Stir and remove from the heat.

 

4. Add the tin of diced and peeled tomatoes and oregano to the mince and stir to combine.

 

5. Add the fried veggies and onion mixture to the mince along with the stock and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

 

6. Stir the spaghetti through the bolognaise sauce and add the fresh basil and cheese. Allow the cheese to melt before serving.

 

7. Add a dollop of Mrs Balls  and grated cheese the the serving as a final touch and ENJOY!

 

Sausage and Bean Spaghetti

 

Ingredients:

 

1/4 pack Fattis & Monis spaghetti

Olive oil for frying

1 onion chopped

1 clove garlic crushed

1 pack of Enterprise Smoked Russians

1 tin of KOO Four Mixed Beans in Brine

1 tin of All Gold Mediterranean Style peeled and diced tomatoes with aubergines and courgettes

1 cup baby spinach

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley

1/2 avocado diced

1 tomato diced

 

Method:

 

1. Add spaghetti to a pot of boiling water. Boil for 5 - 8 minutes. Strain and set aside.

 

2. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan, fry the onion and garlic until fragrant.

 

3. Slice the smoked Russians into pieces and add the pieces to the pan.

 

4. Strain the beans and add to the pan, stirring to combine.

 

5. Add the mediterranean style tomatoes to the pan followed by the baby spinach. Stir and allow the spinach to wilt.

 

6. Simmer for a few minutes and season with salt and pepper.

 

7. Stir the cooked spaghetti through and add fresh parsley to the pan.

 

8. Finely slice an avocado and tomato for a relish.

 

9. Serve the spaghetti topped with a spoonful of the relish and fresh parsley and ENJOY!
