INGREDIENTS
1 packet (200g) oat biscuits
½ cup (113g) butter, melted
1 jar (390g) Yum Yum Caramel Dreams Crunchy Peanut Caramel Spread
2 slabs (80g each) dark chocolate, chopped
1 tsp flaky sea salt (optional)
*Microwave cooking times may vary due to wattage; use the timings below as a guide.
METHOD
1. Prepare a square baking tray with baking paper and a light layer of non-stick cooking spray.
2. Add the oat biscuits to a resealable plastic bag and lightly bash with a rolling pin to form fine crumbs.
3. Transfer the crushed biscuits to the prepared baking tray. Add the melted butter and stir the mixture until well combined. Gently press the crushed crunchies to form the base. *Chef’s Tip: Use the bottom of a glass to press down the crushed crunchies!
4. Refrigerate the biscuit base until needed.
5. Once the base has set, remove the baking tray from the fridge. Generously spread the Yum Yum Caramel Dreams Crunchy Peanut Caramel Spread evenly over the crunchie layer.
6. In a microwavable bowl, heat the chopped chocolate for 1-2 minutes, stirring at 10 second intervals until just melted. *Chef’s Tip: Be careful to not overheat the chocolate!
7. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel peanut butter layer and spread the chocolate evenly with a spatula. While the chocolate is melted, finish with a sprinkling of flaky salt, if using.
8. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until well set.
9. Once set, use a hot, sharp knife to cut into 16 squares. Serve the squares on a cake stand and ENJOY!
