INGREDIENTS
2 jars (125 ml) Purity Chicken and Butternut
1 cup Purity Instant Oats Original
1/2 cup finely grated mild cheddar cheese
Vegetable oil for brushing
Serving Suggestion:
Avocado dip (1/2 avocado & 2 tbsp plain yoghurt)
METHOD
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. In a medium size mixing bowl, combine the Purity Chicken and Butternut, Purity Instant Oats and grated cheese.
3. Mix well then leave to stand for 2-3 minutes so the oats can absorb some of the moisture. The mixture should be firm and mouldable.
4. Using damp hands, roll the mixture into long, narrow tots, each about the size of an adult thumb, and arrange them spaced out on the prepared baking tray. The mixture should make around 16 tots. *Chef’s Tip: Using damp hands before rolling the mixture prevents it from sticking to your hands.
5. Lightly brush the tots with vegetable oil and bake for 15 - 20 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown on the outside while still soft in the middle.
6. Allow to cool slightly, serve with a mashed avocado and yoghurt dip and ENJOY!
*Chef’s Tip: Freeze the remaining tots for a quick and easy meal whenever you need one.
