Triple Decker Kota Special

3 slices white bread

1 -2 tbsps vegetable oil

2 viennas, halved lengthways

4 slices polony

1 large egg 

2 slices cheddar cheese

2 leaves lettuce, washed and dried

½ cup NikNaks Flamin’ Hot Chilli Flavoured Maize Snack, plus extra for serving

¼ cup tomato sauce

4 slices tomato


1. Add the bread to a toaster and toast until golden brown.

2. While the bread is toasting, add the vegetable oil, viennas and polony to a large pan on medium heat. Grill each side for 1-2 minutes until golden brown and fry a sunny-side up egg in the same pan. Set aside until needed.

3. To construct the sandwich, start by placing one slice of toast on the bottom, followed by a slice of cheese, a lettuce leaf, four halved vienna sausages, a quarter cup of NikNaks Flamin’ Hot Chilli Flavoured Maize Snack, half of the tomato sauce, another slice of toast, another slice of cheddar cheese, tomato slices, slices of polony, the rest of the NikNaks, the remaining tomato sauce, the fried egg and finally, the last slice of toast on top. *Chef’s Tip: Layer the sandwich neatly to ensure the filling remains intact!

4. Cut the sandwich in half, serve with extra NikNaks Flamin’ Hot Chilli Flavoured Maize Snack and ENJOY!
